Welcome to the new [capawesome.io](/). --- ## [Revamped Git Integrations in Capawesome Cloud](/blog/git-integration-revamp-in-capawesome-cloud/) The Git integration in Capawesome Cloud just got its biggest upgrade yet. Git connections now live at the organization level instead of being tied to individual user accounts, GitHub gets a dedicated GitHub App with per-repository access, Gitea and plain Git (HTTP/S) join the list of supported providers, and every provider now offers a simple personal access token flow — including self-hosted and enterprise instances. With this upgrade, OAuth-based Git connections are deprecated: they continue to work until **December 31, 2026**, after which you'll need to switch to the GitHub App or a personal access token. Here's what's new — and how to migrate. ## [Capacitor ML Kit 8.2.0: 14 New Plugins](/blog/capacitor-mlkit-8-2-0-release/) [Capacitor ML Kit](/docs/sdks/capacitor/mlkit/) 8.2.0 is the biggest release in the project's history: 14 new plugins land at once, completing coverage of Google's [ML Kit](https://developers.google.com/ml-kit) APIs. There are new vision plugins for text recognition, image labeling, object detection, pose detection, and digital ink recognition; natural language plugins for smart replies, entity extraction, and language identification; and six GenAI plugins that run Gemini Nano directly on the device. All of it is on-device machine learning: no server, no API keys, and no per-request costs. Here's what's in the release and how to use it. ## [Capacitor Tauri Platform: Lean Desktop Apps](/blog/announcing-the-capacitor-tauri-platform/) Yesterday we announced the Capacitor Electron Platform. Today we're introducing its sibling: the [Capacitor Tauri Platform](/docs/sdks/capacitor/tauri/), a free and open-source platform that brings your Capacitor app to macOS, Windows, and Linux with [Tauri](https://v2.tauri.app/). Instead of bundling a browser, it uses the system webview and a security-first Rust core, so your desktop app installs in a few megabytes. It's MIT-licensed and contributions are welcome! ## [Capacitor Electron Platform: Build Desktop Apps](/blog/announcing-the-capacitor-electron-platform/) We're excited to announce the [Capacitor Electron Platform](/docs/sdks/capacitor/electron/), a new open-source platform that lets you build, run, and package desktop apps for macOS, Windows, and Linux with [Capacitor](https://capacitorjs.com/) and [Electron](https://www.electronjs.org/). It's free, MIT-licensed, and built from the ground up as a modern replacement for the no longer actively maintained [Capacitor Community Electron Platform](https://github.com/capacitor-community/electron). Contributions are welcome! ## [Share Mobile App Builds with Testers via Link & QR Code](/blog/share-mobile-app-builds-with-testers/) Getting a build onto a tester's phone is one of those things that should take seconds but usually doesn't. Today, we're changing that: with **build sharing** in [Capawesome Cloud](https://capawesome.io/cloud/), you can turn any successful build into a public share link. Testers open the link, scan a QR code, and install the build on their device — no Capawesome Cloud account, no app store review, no waiting. It works for Capacitor and Cordova apps as well as native Android (Kotlin/Java) and iOS (Swift/Objective-C) apps — with support for more frameworks on the way. ## [Capawesome Cloud Now Supports Apache Cordova](/blog/announcing-cordova-support-in-capawesome-cloud/) Capawesome Cloud now officially supports **Apache Cordova**. That means out-of-the-box native iOS and Android builds, automated App Store submissions, and — the part we're most excited about — over-the-air Live Updates through our new Cordova Live Update plugin. With Ionic Appflow winding down, Cordova teams have been left without a real option for cloud builds and live updates. Consider this their new home. ## [Capacitor Vault Plugin: Store Secrets Securely](/blog/announcing-the-capacitor-vault-plugin/) Today we're introducing the [Capacitor Vault plugin](/docs/sdks/capacitor/vault/). It lets you store secrets behind an explicit biometric or device-passcode unlock — the foundation for password managers, authenticator apps, banking apps, and any app-lock screen. The plugin ships with multi-vault support, configurable auto-lock, hardware-backed encryption, and full cross-platform parity across Android, iOS, and Web.
