# Limits & Quotas

This page summarizes the limits that apply to Live Updates. Plan-specific allowances (such as included MAU and data transfer) are listed on the [pricing page](https://capawesome.io/pricing/){:target="_blank"}.

## Bundle size

A single bundle can be up to **1 GB**. In practice you should aim for much smaller bundles — see [Reduce update size](bundle-size.md) for how to keep them lean.

## Monthly active users (MAU)

Live Updates are billed by **monthly active users**. A device counts as active in a given month the first time it checks for an update that month. Your plan includes a number of MAU. When you reach it, no new devices can register until you upgrade your plan — there are no metered overage charges. To estimate your expected usage, see [Estimate usage](estimate-usage.md).

## Data transfer

Live Updates are also billed by **data transfer** — the bandwidth used to deliver bundles to devices. Only **deliveries** (downloads) count toward your allowance; **uploading** bundles to Capawesome Cloud is free. Your plan includes a data transfer allowance. When you reach it, bundle deliveries stop until you upgrade your plan — there are no metered overage charges. To estimate your expected usage, see [Estimate usage](estimate-usage.md).

## Storage

Storage is **unlimited** — publish and retain as many bundles as you like at no extra cost.
