Code of Conduct

1. Scope and Introduction

1.1. This Community Code of Conduct applies to all official channels of Genz IT Solutions GmbH ("Provider"), including in particular the GitHub organisation, the Discord server, official forums, and social media channels.

1.2. This Code of Conduct is not a contractual document. The Provider exercises its right as operator of its own communication channels. There is no legal entitlement to participate in the Capawesome community channels.

2. Expected Conduct

2.1. Participants in the Capawesome community shall:

  • treat each other with respect and courtesy,
  • maintain a constructive, objective tone in discussions,
  • be willing to help other community members,
  • favour collaboration over confrontation when disagreements arise.

3. Prohibited Conduct

3.1. The following conduct is prohibited in the Capawesome community channels:

  • harassment, intimidation, or threatening of other persons,
  • hate speech, discrimination, or disparagement on the basis of origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, age, or other personal characteristics,
  • doxxing (publishing personal information of others without their consent),
  • spam, trolling, or deliberate disruption of discussions,
  • publishing unlawful content or content that infringes copyright, trade mark, or personality rights,
  • publishing not-safe-for-work (NSFW) content.

4. No Disclosure of Confidential Data

4.1. Confidential data shall not be published in public channels (GitHub Issues, Discussions, Discord, forums). This includes in particular:

  • secrets, API keys, certificates, and private keys,
  • build logs containing personal data,
  • customer data or other confidential business information.

4.2. In the event of accidental disclosure, the post shall be removed without delay or a moderator shall be asked to remove it. Affected credentials shall be rotated immediately.

5. Enforcement and Appeals

5.1. In the event of a breach of this Code of Conduct, the Provider shall take graduated measures:

  • notice of the breach,
  • warning,
  • temporary exclusion from the affected channels,
  • permanent exclusion.

5.2. In the event of serious breaches (in particular threats, doxxing, or disclosure of confidential data), the Provider shall be entitled to exclude the participant immediately without prior warning.

5.3. Suspended users may request a review by email to community@capawesome.io within 14 days of the suspension. The Provider shall review the appeal and communicate the outcome. There is no obligation to reinstate the user.

6. Contact and Amendments

6.1. Breaches of this Code of Conduct may be reported to community@capawesome.io or via the in-channel moderation.

6.2. Community support by other members is voluntary. Official support is available exclusively through the designated channels (see Support Policy).

6.3. The Provider reserves the right to amend this Code of Conduct at any time. Amendments shall be announced in the respective channels.
