Plugin requests¶
Please note that new plugins are first exclusively released to sponsors as part of Insiders. This is because we only have limited resources and every plugin needs to be maintained in the future. Our sponsorware release strategy allows us to receive additional resources for the maintenance of new plugins.
Before creating an issue¶
Before you invest your time to fill out and submit a plugin request, we kindly ask you to do some preliminary work by answering some questions to determine if your idea is a good fit for our projects.
Search for existing plugins¶
Before you go through the trouble of creating a plugin request that is answered and closed right away with a link to an existing plugin, you can save time for us and yourself by doing some research:
- Search the Capacitor Community, as there are many plugins available that are not listed on our website.
- Search the web for existing plugins that are not listed in the Capacitor Community or our website.
After creating an issue¶
Once you've created an issue, we will review it as soon as possible. Please note that not every plugin request will be implemented, as we only have limited resources and every plugin needs to be maintained in the future. If your plugin request is accepted, we will add it to our backlog and implement it as soon as we have the resources to do so.
